Artificial Moon will be launched by the China Space Company until 2020

Beijing: Have you ever imagined a moon that could replace the street lights and illuminate the whole city? Now, the company's research institute of Chengdu Aerospace Science and Technology Microelectronics System (CASC), a Chinese space company, created to do so.

CASC is ready to build an artificial moon that can illuminate the city at night and that can be eight times brighter than the real moon.
According to a report in a Chinese newspaper, The People's Daily, CASC tends to build a replica of the Moon by 2020, which will actually be a satellite that can illuminate an area between 6 and 50 miles wide. This artificial moon would change the lights of the street in Chengdu City. Wu Chunfeng, president of CASC, says the tests have already begun and they plan to launch the artificial moon in 2020.
According to a study carried out in 2016, the excessive use of lanterns and artificial lamps results in a dark place and light pollution. The study also shows that more than 80% of the world and 99% of people in the United States and Europe live in sun-exposed areas.
The International Dark Sky Association also seeks to create a natural night sky by offering dark celestial names to cities, parks, reserves, protected areas and other open areas.
As, light pollution seriously affects human health and wildlife. Man becomes susceptible to diseases like cancer, depression and obesity. The life cycle of the plant is also interrupted. In general, these changes affect the entire ecosystem.
